About Our Pastor
Michael Owens Sr. is senior pastor of Disciples of Christ Bible Fellowship Church in Little Elm, TX. This ministry was birthed in February 2014. Pastor Michael demonstrates a keen awareness of people’s needs and provides Christ-centered, biblically based principles for everyday life.
Pastor Michael was born in St. Louis, MO and is the fifth of six children of Henry and Carolyn Owens. He received his calling to preach the Gospel in September 1995. He has clung to God’s Word and took up the mantle to preach the Gospel to whoever will listen.
Pastor Michael married the love of his life, first lady LaQuetta Owens, more than 22 years ago. Their union bore three beautiful children, Michael II (Kinea), Morgan, and Marissa, and they have one beautiful granddaughter, Khari.
Pastor Michael’s motivation is best represented by the truth found in Acts 20:24:
“Life is worth nothing unless I use it for doing the work assigned to me by the Lord Jesus—the work of telling others the Good News about God’s mighty kindness and love.” This is because, as he says, “It is the Word of God and the work of God that changes people’s lives.”

Our First Lady
Sister LaQuetta, the leading lady of Disciples of Christ Bible Fellowship, is passionate about the vision of making disciples out of all mankind. Her ministry is youth and women. She is a gifted administrator and faithful intercessor; her reputation is also that of a dynamic leader with a profound love for all people. Her grace, kindness, and humility enable her to connect and share God’s love with all, but her true passion is ministering to women of all ages. She believes in empowering women by helping them discover that they can do all things through Christ coupled with believing they are fearfully and wonderfully made and marvelous is God’s work within them.
